The versatile nature of a smartphone makes it easy to use across all ages. You can get hold of the latest information, music, news on your smartphone with just the click of a button or two. Even those on the lower end of the income spectrum can now buy smartphones due to its increased affordability and accessibility. Smartphone penetration in rural India has risen from 9 per cent in 2015 to 25 per cent in 2018 [1].

Providing accessible, affordable and reliable Internet connectivity for persons of all ages, across all economic regions must be a priority.
